Click Continue button to proceed to the next step. If you are on Mac Mini or MacBook Air, use the first option (Create a Windows 7 or later version install disk) to create a bootable Windows 10/8 USB flash drive to install Windows 10/8 directly from USB flash drive. Simply select the other options available and click Continue button.īy default, all three options are enabled. If Create a Windows 7 or later version install disk option is not available on your Mac, it’s because your computer doesn’t support installing Windows from USB flash drive. # Download the latest Windows support software from Apple # Create a Windows 7 or later version install disk I know my Mac OS files still exist because if I go to Disk Utility ->Restore, and then browse for a source, I can still view my files and folders under Macintosh HD.Step 2: Once launched, click Continue button on the introduction screen to see the list of options available for your Mac. I'm very unknowledgeable about this kind of stuff and am desperate for any kind of help! I don't know why this happened, and I havent done anything else in fear of making it worse. I also tried running using Sudo Bless command, but it said "bash: sudo: command not found" I then ran terminal and ran Diskutil List and Diskutil info for disk 2 (Macintosh HD I think?) anyway I don't know what any of it is saying, but you can look at the pictures. I tried unmounting and mounting Macintosh HD, but nothing changed. All of them said everything appeared to be OK. I clicked verify and repair on all the ones I could which were not grayed out. Again, I don't really know what any of this means. If I select "Choose Startup Disk", again it only gives me the option for Bootcamp. I can still boot into Mac OS recovery with ⌘+R.

Included is an image of Windows Disk Management, but I am clueless and have no idea what any of it means. In Bootcamp Control Panel on Windows, I only have the option to boot into Windows as default, and attempting to restart in Mac OS gives me a message saying "Could not locate the OS X boot volume"

The left one is Windows that worked and I set up, the right is one that is not yet setup and I don't know why that's there!?! It gave me only 2 options: both being to boot into Windows. After seemingly installing Windows successfully, I held the Option key to boot back to my Apple side. Recently I decided to restore my partitions to 1 drive, and then reparation to allocate more space for Windows.

Ever since I bought it years ago, I had always been running Windows on it. I am using a June 2015 MacBook Air running Mac OS 10.11. Additionally see this link here to look at the images I took of my screen: You may have seen my previous posts, but I deleted them as this will include more info.
